Terms of Service
Last updated: 11 June 2026
1. Agreement to Terms
By accessing or using the Joblar platform ("Platform"), operated by Joblar Limited, a company registered in Ireland (CRO no. 785821) with its registered office at 76 Bushy Park House, Terenure, Dublin 6W, D6W TX34, Ireland("Joblar", "we", "us", "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Platform.
These Terms apply to all users of the Platform, including construction professionals ("Professionals") and construction companies ("Companies").
2. Platform Description
Joblar is a matching platform that connects verified construction professionals with companies seeking to hire them across Ireland. The Platform provides:
- Profile creation for professionals and companies
- Certification verification for professional qualifications
- Job posting and browsing functionality
- Mutual matching — contact details are shared only when both parties express interest
Joblar is a technology platform only. We are not an employment agency, staffing firm, recruiter, or employer, and we do not require or hold an employment agency licence because we do not carry on employment agency business. Specifically:
- Joblar does not recruit, select, or put forward candidates on behalf of any company
- Joblar does not represent, promote, or act on behalf of any professional
- Joblar does not make, influence, or participate in any hiring decision
- Match scores are automated compatibility indicators generated equally for both parties — they are not recommendations or endorsements by Joblar
- All introductions occur only when both parties independently express interest, and all subsequent communications, negotiations, contracts, and employment terms are exclusively between the matched parties
Joblar provides software that allows professionals and companies to discover each other directly. We are not a party to, and accept no responsibility for, any engagement or employment relationship formed between users.
3. Eligibility & Permitted Users
The Platform is intended exclusively for:
- Construction professionals — individuals seeking work directly for themselves; and
- Construction companies — businesses hiring directly for their own projects and operations.
Recruitment agencies, staffing firms, labour-hire providers, and any person or business acting as an intermediary on behalf of third parties are not permitted to register or use the Platform in any capacity. Joblar exists to connect professionals and companies directly, and intermediary use is contrary to the purpose of the service.
Verification. We may verify any account at registration or at any later time. For companies, this may include checking your company registration (CRO) number, business email domain, website, and publicly available records. For professionals, this may include reviewing identification and certification documents. You agree to provide accurate verification information and to respond to reasonable verification requests, including contact from us via the communication methods you have provided.
Our rights. We may, at our sole discretion, refuse registration, suspend, or permanently delete any account that: (a) is or appears to be operated by or on behalf of a recruitment agency or other intermediary; (b) cannot be verified; or (c) provides false or misleading verification information. Where a paid subscription is terminated under this section, we will refund any unused portion of the current billing period; no further liability arises from such termination.
4. Account Registration
To use the Platform, you must:
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Provide accurate, truthful, and complete information during registration
- Keep your account credentials secure and confidential
- Not create multiple accounts or share your account with others
You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. If you suspect unauthorised access to your account, contact us immediately at info@joblar.com.
5. Authentication
Workers log in via a one-time code delivered to their registered mobile number through a messaging channel. By registering, you consent to receiving this code as part of the login process. You must have an active account capable of receiving messages on the registered number.
You are responsible for keeping your registered mobile number current and for ensuring that only you have access to messages received on that number. If you lose access to your registered number, contact us at info@joblar.com to update your account.
6. Professional Accounts
Professional accounts are free to create and use.
As a Professional on Joblar, you agree to:
- Provide accurate information about your skills, experience, and qualifications
- Upload genuine, valid certifications (Safe Pass, CSCS, etc.)
- Keep your availability and profile information up to date
- Not misrepresent your qualifications, experience, or certification status
- Respond to matches and communications in a professional manner
- Provide identification or certification documents when reasonably requested for verification
- Accept that Joblar may contact you via the communication methods you have provided (phone, WhatsApp, or email) to verify your information or request clarification
7. Company Accounts
As a Company on Joblar, you agree to:
- Provide accurate company information and contact details
- Post genuine job listings with accurate descriptions, rates, and requirements
- Not post misleading, fraudulent, or discriminatory job listings
- Comply with all applicable Irish employment laws and regulations
- Respect the privacy and personal data of matched professionals
- Confirm that you are a direct employer hiring for your own projects, and not a recruitment agency, staffing firm, or intermediary acting for third parties
- Provide your company registration (CRO) number and respond to reasonable verification requests
- Accept that your account may be suspended or deleted under the Eligibility & Permitted Users section if these conditions are not met
Subscription Plans & Payments
Company access to matching features requires a paid subscription. Pricing details are available on the Platform. Subscriptions are billed monthly and can be cancelled at any time. A free trial period may be offered to new companies — no payment card is required for the trial.
- Payment is processed by a regulated third-party payment provider; their terms apply to the payment transaction. Joblar never stores or has access to your full card details.
- Subscription charges are recurring until cancelled. You can cancel at any time via your account settings.
- Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. Contact us at info@joblar.com for billing queries.
Cancellation
New company subscribers may cancel within 14 days of the initial purchase for a full refund. After this period, cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period and no refunds are issued for partial periods, except where an account is terminated by Joblar under the Eligibility & Permitted Users section, in which case the unused portion is refunded.
8. Certification Verification
Joblar provides certification verification as a feature of the platform. All uploaded certifications are reviewed by human reviewers to confirm they appear valid and match the information provided. However:
- AI is not used to validate the authenticity of certifications — all verification is performed by humans
- We do not guarantee the absolute authenticity of any certification
- Companies should independently verify certifications where legally required
- Traffic light status indicators (green/amber/red) are based on document validity dates and may not reflect real-time status with issuing authorities
- Joblar may compile uploaded certifications into summary PDF documents for convenience
9. AI-Assisted Features
Joblar may use artificial intelligence to provide assistive features on the platform, including but not limited to:
- Generating insights from job postings (e.g. matching suggestions, market trends)
- Assisting professionals in creating or formatting CVs based on their profile data
- Enabling companies to generate candidate CV summaries (with the candidate's consent)
- Compiling uploaded certifications into summary PDF documents
By using AI features, you acknowledge that:
- AI-generated content is provided as a convenience tool and should be reviewed for accuracy
- AI outputs are based solely on data you have provided — we do not purchase or scrape external data
- No hiring decisions, rejections, or legally binding actions are made solely by AI
- You retain ownership of AI-generated content based on your data
- You can request human review of any AI-assisted output or opt out of AI features
10. Mutual Matching & Contact Sharing
Joblar uses a mutual matching system. Contact details (phone numbers, email addresses) are only shared between parties when both sides have expressed interest. By expressing interest in a match, you consent to your contact details being shared with the other party.
You agree to use shared contact details solely for the purpose of discussing the relevant job opportunity. You must not share, sell, or distribute matched contact details to any third party.
11. Data Processing
Companies receiving worker contact details following a mutual match become independent data controllers for that personal data. Companies are responsible for handling such data in compliance with applicable data protection law, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Irish Data Protection Act 2018.
Joblar remains the controller for data processed within the Platform itself (matching, profile data, certifications). The full detail of how Joblar processes personal data is set out in our Privacy Policy.
12. Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to:
- Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose
- Upload false, misleading, or fraudulent information
- Harass, abuse, or threaten other users
- Attempt to circumvent the matching system or access contact details without a mutual match
- Scrape, crawl, or otherwise extract data from the Platform by automated means
- Use the Platform to spam, phish, or distribute malware
- Impersonate another person or entity
- Interfere with or disrupt the Platform's infrastructure
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, manipulate, or systematically query the matching algorithm; scrape platform data by automated means; or attempt to inflate match scores artificially.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms without prior notice.
13. Limitation of Liability
Joblar is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by Irish law:
- We do not guarantee continuous, uninterrupted access to the Platform
- We are not responsible for the conduct of any user, whether professional or company
- We are not a party to any employment agreement between matched users
- We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the Platform, including but not limited to lost profits, lost data, or business interruption
- We do not guarantee the accuracy of user-provided information or certifications
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under Irish law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
14. Intellectual Property
All content, design, logos, and technology on the Joblar platform are owned by or licensed to Joblar and are protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the Platform without our written consent.
You retain ownership of content you upload to the Platform (profile information, certifications, CVs). By uploading content, you grant Joblar a limited licence to use, display, and process that content solely for the purpose of providing the Platform services.
15. Account Suspension & Termination
Suspended Accounts
Accounts may be temporarily suspended where a required certification has expired or failed re-verification. Suspended workers remain registered but are not shown to companies until the certification is renewed and re-verified.
Termination
You may delete your account at any time through the Platform settings or by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or engage in prohibited conduct.
Upon account deletion, your personal data will be removed in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Company subscriptions remain subject to any applicable billing terms at the time of cancellation.
16. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Ireland. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish courts.
Any disputes shall first be referred to mediation before proceedings are issued.
17. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you via email or a prominent notice on the Platform. Your continued use of Joblar after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
18. General
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force and effect. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Joblar Limited regarding the Platform. Our failure to enforce any right or provision is not a waiver of that right or provision.
